From the editor
##first name##

Not long now till the jolly fat bloke slides down your

So little time, so much to do.

I’ll keep an eye out for the reindeer while flying back to
Brisbane on Saturday for some R&R by the sea.

Hope your end-of-year celebrations are bubbling along

Here’s a mixed bag of mail from your fellow readers -

”pleaseeeeeeeeeeeee................the newsletters were a
really good source of info at one time, but now seem to
have been replaced with excuses about computer problems,
travel, fatigue , personal issues etc.........the net is
about the delivery of info..not excuses!!” – Peter Kelly.

”I like the ‘14xx are subscribing to our newsletter’ thing,
it shows the user, ‘WOW, I’m not the only recipient of this
newsletter’. The more the merrier.” – Chris from
www.royaldeal.com in Denmark.

”Thank you for providing a great informative and
well-balanced range of topics on your web page. Gloria and
myself have really enjoyed scrolling through the fine range
of topics. We both extend our seasonal greetings to you and
your production staff for the festive season. Good luck for
2003 and keep up the good work.” - Bevin and Gloria.

”Thanks for your informative talk show on the ABC Radio.
That’s how I’m here. Looking forward to learning how to
make up my web site and other great things. I’m doing ok
considering 18 months ago my only knowledge of a hard drive
was from Brisbane to Melbourne...take care" - Brian.

“I’m sorry but you are NOT allowed to be sick, crook or
anything else, I will not allow it. Please look after
yourself, okay?” – Leo from New Zealand.

Thanks for the feedback.

Web content tip
Who says procrastination doesn’t get you anywhere?

Thankfully, I postponed the drudgery of creating meta
keyword tags for major pages on my web site and,
fortunately, few search engines pay attention to the tag
any more.

What’s a tag and which ones ‘meta’? Search engine guru

Battelle Technology Forecasts
“What advances in technology will you see in the next 10
years? Perhaps you will carry your personal computer in
your jacket pocket, diabetics will receive insulin, as
needed, from an imbedded sensor-delivery system, and store
shelves may stock anti-aging creams that actually work.”
These are among the possibilities compiled by researchers
at Battelle Memorial Institute, which works with government
and industry to develop new technologies and products.
